Mentoring Recruitment Ideas

Need some new ideas to create interest with potential mentors? 

Prepare Potential Volunteers

Make sure that as you recruit people you let them know they will be going through a screening process if they are signing up with a community agency. This will include at least one interview, maybe two and, most likely, a fingerprint test.   It is important to properly prepare interested adults.  You can let them know this is for safety purposes, which they will understand and about which they should be glad.  Also prepare them to make sure they ask what type of training the program provides.  If there is no training, have them look for another opportunity!
